Laurie Leverrette serves as Vice President of Community Services at Step Forward, where she oversees the agency’s Community Services and Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). She brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, with a strong background in housing stability, emergency services, early childhood education, and food access.

Laurie has led large-scale, publicly funded programs that support tens of thousands of families each year. Her experience includes managing utility assistance programs such as HEAP and PIPP, as well as overseeing Emergency Rental Assistance efforts funded through the CARES Act. She is deeply experienced in navigating complex compliance requirements while ensuring services are delivered efficiently and equitably.
