I am disabled and my landlord is a senior citizen. It took just about a year of applying, uploading documents, reapplying, filling out paperwaork in person, dozens of phone calls and months of no responses before The Stepforwardtoday program a year later denied me and my landlord help because my landlord was at my house when they called. I tried explaining why she was there that day and wrote letters and tried calling and going to the Stepforward office building but was just told to find help somewhere else. I don't think they really want to help the disabled or the elderly. I mean, it took them 3-4 applications and a year of waiting before I finally got any type…

Why doe's everyone's situation have to be a eviction or a 3 day notice to receive any rental assistance. That's not what I've read and researched when I have looked into all of any assistance in Cuyahoga County Ohio. Doesn't say you have to have any of eviction or notice to leave premises. Low income for future rental assistance it doe's say. Appreciate any answer's. Thank you. ??
