Duties: Under supervision, completes daily meter reading and billing exceptions which prevent the billing system from generating timely bills (e.g.: bill segment errors, pending bills, start/stop service agreements, accounts without bill/meter cycles) to ensure correct bills are sent to customers; Resolves exceptions for accounts where meter readings fall outside specific parameters; Initiates field investigations and evaluates results. Performs calculations and makes various adjustments, including those for leaks, according to policy. Prepares underground leak adjustment, homestead, and other billing-related letters. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred; Two years of full time paid experience in accounting with familiarity in account detail review, preparing and posting adjustments, and auditing functions, or two years of full time paid experience in a billing environment with responsibility for account set up and correction of customer billing based on analysis of data and rates; Must have excellent oral and written communications skills and an intermediate skill level using Microsoft Word and Excel; Must be able to type at a speed of 25 words per minute with 80% accuracy.
