If you’re 18–24, living in Cleveland or Cuyahoga County, and looking for a job—or a better one—Step Forward’s Youth Work Experience Program can help you get started.
What You'll Get:
- Paid work experience (earn up to $1,500)
- Hands-on training in roles like clerical work and tax preparation
- Resume building and interview coaching
- Career guidance and job placement support
- One-on-one support throughout the program
Real Experience That Matters
Participants gain real-world experience through Step Forward programs like Energy Assistance and Free Tax Preparation, as well as opportunities with community partners across Cuyahoga County.
As part of the program, you may participate in the Youth Tax Preparation Employment Initiative (YTPEI) in partnership with the Cuyahoga EITC Coalition—helping local families while building valuable job skills.
We’ll help you build valuable job skills and connect with employers in high-demand fields like health care, information technology (IT), retail, and more. Our trusted employer partners offer great pay, reliable jobs, and opportunities to grow your career.
Program Details
- Ages 18–24 (including young adults with disabilities)
- Up to 10 weeks of paid experience
- Up to 12 hours per week
- Ongoing support to help you stay employed long-term
