My journey with Head Start began when my daughter aged out of the Help Me Grow program. She was diagnosed with a speech delay and completed their program. At that time, Head Start was recommended as the next step, it became a turning point for our family.
Through Head Start, my daughter developed socially and emotionally, learned her ABCs and 123s, and quickly formed meaningful friendships and connections. By the time she entered kindergarten, she was placed in first- and second grade reading groups, already exceeding expectations.
Her confidence, academic readiness, and love for learning are a direct result of the strong foundation Head Start provided.
Because of Head Start, I was able to work with peace of mind, knowing my daughter was in a safe, nurturing environment where she was not only cared for but truly learning and thriving.
