Step Forward was honored to welcome Ohio Congresswoman Shontel Brown to William Patrick Day Early Learning Center, where she spent time touring the facility, engaging with Head Start children, and meeting with staff.

Brown's visit provided an opportunity to highlight the important work being done by Step Forward in Cuyahoga County and to discuss the range of services we offer to the community.

During her visit, Brown read to a group of children enrolled in Step Forward's Head Start program. The children were thrilled by the special story time and eagerly participated, showcasing the vibrant, engaging learning environment that Head Start fosters.

In addition to connecting with the children, Congresswoman Brown met with staff members to discuss the critical programs Step Forward offers, including early childhood education, energy assistance, and family support services. These conversations highlighted the impact of continued support from Congressional leaders like Congresswoman Brown and the crucial role that federal funding plays in ensuring the success of our programs.

The check presented by Congresswoman Brown during her visit represents the funding that directly supports Head Start, a program that provides comprehensive early education and services to children and families in need. This funding helps us continue making a lasting impact in Cuyahoga County, empowering local families and giving children the resources they need to succeed.
