You're invited! Step Forward celebrates grand opening of new Neighborhood Opportunity Center

Step Forward will expand its services into Euclid this month, as it celebrates the grand opening of the “East Neighborhood Opportunity Center” located at 763 East 200th Street.

The newest location is one of four neighborhood opportunity centers in Cuyahoga County. It replaces the Glenville Neighborhood Opportunity Center, which was located near East 105th Street and Saint Clair Avenue.

“Step Forward’s goal is to help as many people in Cuyahoga County as possible,” Douglas Bennett, Step Forward’s Vice President of External Affairs, said. “With offices on the west, south, central and now east sides of Cleveland, this new location will allow us to reach even more households and communities across Northeast Ohio.”

Neighborhood Opportunity Centers ensure that low-income individuals and families access important resources and services to address their immediate needs and that each of Step Forward’s clients build long-term skills and opportunities to transform their lives. Family Development Specialists can help eligible residents apply for personal and professional development programs, Step Forward’s Home Energy Assistance Program and emergency assistance such as clothing, food and car repair assistance.

The grand opening of the new East NOC will be held Wednesday, October 12th from 9am until 10:30am.

Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail, Dana Heil, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, and Callie Cripps, Economic Development Manager, plan to attend.

“I am grateful to Step Forward for bringing their Neighborhood Opportunity Center to Euclid,” Mayor Holzheimer Gail said. “Step Forward has a long history of providing assistance to children and families, helping to improve lives, and strengthening communities. We look forward to partnering with them to improve the lives of our residents and our community!”

The new center will operate from 8am until 5pm Monday through Friday.
