Community Services at Step Forward has a rich history of empowering individuals to achieve economic self-sufficiency and enhance their overall well-being. The journey began in 1966 when the then-Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland (CEOGC) opened its first Neighborhood Opportunity Center, marking the beginning of a long-standing commitment to community support. In 2009, with the help of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds, the agency expanded its services to include Employment Services, creating new pathways for career development. Today, Community Services offers a comprehensive array of programs that address immediate needs while guiding individuals toward long-term success. These include family programs, counseling, job readiness training, and employment connections, all designed to foster resilience and self-sufficiency.
