Angela brings more than a decade of newsroom experience to her role. Before joining Step Forward, she spent 12 years as a television journalist, working as a news anchor and investigative consumer reporter. Her reporting earned five Emmy Awards, along with honors from the New Mexico Broadcasters Association and the Society of Professional Journalists in Indiana. Her work focused on uncovering impactful stories and helping communities better understand issues affecting their daily lives.

Today, Angela applies that same storytelling expertise and media insight to ensure Step Forward’s work is clearly communicated and widely understood. She works to elevate the organization’s visibility while strengthening connections between the agency and the communities it serves.

Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Communication with a certificate in Crisis Communication from the same institution.
